Description
The Yunduo’s true character is only visible with the lamp turned on — watch in full screen
✨ Turn on the light to see the real lamp
Product photographs cannot capture what natural silk does with light. In photos the Yunduo appears as a sculptural white cloud — already beautiful, but only half the story. When lit, the layered silk fibres glow from within: warm, deep, luminous, with subtle variation across the surface that no synthetic material can produce. The lamp you receive will look better than any image you have seen of it.
Natural Mulberry Silk — a material that earns its place
Mulberry silk is produced by Bombyx mori silkworms fed exclusively on white mulberry leaves — it is the finest grade of natural silk available, prized for its smooth lustre, tensile strength, and exceptional translucency. When layered and formed by hand, silk fibres create a surface with genuine depth and tonal complexity — every lamp is individually shaped and will carry its own subtle variation in surface character. No two Yunduo lamps are identical.

Frequently Asked QuestionsWhy does the product look different in photos compared to when it’s lit?
Natural mulberry silk is a uniquely light-reactive material. In ambient daylight or against a white background, it reads as a sculptural white cloud — elegant but quiet. When the LED activates, the light passes through dozens of overlapping layers of translucent silk fibre and is scattered, softened, and warmed by each layer. The result is a glow with genuine depth and warmth that photographs cannot replicate. The product you receive will look significantly more impressive lit than in any product image. We strongly recommend watching the video above before forming expectations from the still photographs.
Is each lamp hand-formed? Will mine look exactly like the display?
The Yunduo is individually shaped. The cloud silhouette — its overall asymmetric organic form — will be consistent between pieces. The precise surface texture, fibre distribution, and fold character will differ slightly between lamps, as with any handcraft object made from natural material. This is part of what makes the Yunduo a considered object rather than a manufactured product.
How do I care for a silk lamp?
Natural silk is delicate. Do not use water, damp cloths, or cleaning products on the shade. For dust, use a very soft dry brush (such as a clean makeup or watercolour brush) or a low-power compressed air duster held at distance. Avoid direct sunlight exposure for prolonged periods, which may yellow the silk over time. Keep away from high-humidity areas. The silk shade should be handled gently and not compressed or pressed against other surfaces.
Why is the dimmable version recommended for silk?
Silk at reduced dim levels produces a particularly beautiful effect — the glow becomes deeper and warmer as the brightness decreases, and the surface luminosity reads more complex and layered. At 20–40% dim the Yunduo functions as an exceptional ambient mood light. At 80–100% it is a comfortable room light. The ability to move between these modes makes the dimmable version significantly more versatile and is recommended for bedrooms and living rooms where you want the lamp to serve multiple purposes throughout the day.
Is the Yunduo certified for North America and Europe?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
