About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish
The frame of this ceiling lamp is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The entire stone presents a consistent matte black — this is exactly as it was designed to be.
Natural travertine — formed by geological processes
Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique.

No — travertine is naturally off-white. The matte black finish is a surface coating applied to the genuine stone. The natural pore structure, weight, and density are fully preserved beneath.
Which configuration should I choose?
The 1-light (3.9″×3.9″) works as a compact accent. The 2-light (7.9″×3.9″) and 3-light (11.8″×3.9″) suit linear runs above counters or in hallways. The 4-light (7.9″×7.9″) provides the most coverage in a square format. All share the same H3.1″ profile.
Can this be installed on the wall as well as the ceiling?
Yes — the Sky Hole supports both ceiling and wall installation. Refer to the Installation Guide for both methods.
