Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat style does this work with?
The inverted-pyramid (Empire) silhouette pulls from late 18th- and 19th-century French chandelier design, but the amber polyhedron glass and fabric-wrapped cord push the fixture into a warmer, contemporary register. The Amber Empire works in formal dining rooms, traditional foyers, Hollywood Regency interiors, transitional rooms with brass and walnut, and contemporary luxe spaces where a single warm-toned focal piece is needed.
What does “polyhedron glass” mean?
Each glass piece is hand-blown into a multi-faceted geometric form rather than a smooth teardrop or cut-crystal prism. The flat faces catch light from many angles, scattering warm amber tones throughout the room rather than concentrating it in one direction. The technique is rooted in mid-20th-century Italian glasswork.
What bulbs work best?
Candle-form LED bulbs (E12 or E14, depending on the unit shipped), max 15W each, 2700K warm white. Clear or filament-style bulbs let warm light pass through the amber glass cleanly. LED keeps heat low — important inside a fixture clustered with hand-blown glass. Bulbs not included.
Is it dimmable?
Yes — when paired with dimmable LED bulbs and a compatible Triac or trailing-edge dimmer (sold separately). Dimming brings out deeper amber tones in the glass and is recommended for dining and lounge installations.
Is the Amber Empire certified for North America?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
