the total wattage of your light fixtures in your plan
the transformer that is large enough to support the total wattage you need
transformer wattage load (total watts needed for your fixtures) should be within 80% of the rated capacity of the transformer.
For example: if you have 15 pack 13W landscape lights, so the total wattage is 195W. Then you can choose the transformer higher than 244W(=195W/0.8).

You can choose 12V/13V/14V terminal outputs according to the length and wire gauge of your cable, make sure that the total wattage of your landscape lights does not exceed 240W(300Wx0.8)
